PLANS FOR ST. PETERSBURG 2013

The Nordic Weeks is a joint initiative of the Nordic diplomatic representations and institutes in St Petersburg.  More than 20 events on promotion of Nordic culture & literature, architecture & city planning, climate & environment have been held in 2012.

In 2013 Nordic Weeks will be held in St Petersburg for the fourth time and Green Growth will be among the main topics. This joint initiative draws a lot of attention to the Nordic region and cooperation and attracts lots of visitors. St. Petersburg Government officially supports the event and the Nordic Weeks usually starts by a joint event with the EU Delegation in Moscow (Europe Day) – and a Bike Ride on Nevsky Prospect (main street in St Petersburg, planned by Peter The Great) is a part of it.

We are now planning a trip to St Petersburg in late January 2013 for research and meetings along with figuring out if "CO2" is the right TAG to make in Russia. In China we learned that "CO2" is too abstract, but "AIR" made more sense since it was something that could actually be seen by the eye being polluted.
If you have any suggestions for a TAG in St Petersburg, we are all ears!
